Meet Sam

A Bit About The Man Behind The Camera

It’s important that you know who will be joining you for your special event or day.

Let me introduce myself. I’m Sam, a photographer based in South Derbyshire.

For over 10 years I’ve been capturing life through my lens — starting with friends and family and gradually building experience across weddings, events, sports, and travel. In 2025, I decided it was finally time to turn that passion into something more.

By day, I work as a residential support worker for young adults, after spending three years as an outdoor activity instructor. Both roles taught me a lot about patience, flexibility, and how to connect with people — skills that naturally shape the way I approach photography. My aim is always to make people feel comfortable so the moments I capture are natural and true to them.

When my wife and I married in June 2025, I found myself most excited about choosing our photographer and videographer. Looking through styles and approaches gave me a new perspective on the importance of finding someone who really understands your vision. That process reinforced just how much I value capturing meaningful, authentic stories through photography.

Outside of work and photography, I’m adventurous and happiest outdoors — whether that’s sailing, surfing, or travelling across Europe with my wife. That same energy comes with me to every shoot. I like to keep things relaxed, fun, and enjoyable, so you can focus on making memories while I capture them.

I cover a wide range of photography, from weddings and engagements to corporate events, maternity announcements, concerts, and sports. Whatever the occasion, my goal is simple: to create photographs that reflect your story, capture the atmosphere, and leave you with images you’ll value for years to come.

If you think I might be the right fit for your day, I’d love to have a chat and hear more about your plans. Just use the Get In Touch form to send me an enquiry, and I’ll be in touch as soon as I can.
